Freshman Pilgrimage stops at St Mark's on Bradley University campus and St Joseph's, Sacred Heart and the Cathedral of St Mary's of the Immaculate Conception in downtown Peoria. The Class of '28 was on their best behavior today and it made for a fantastic trip. We prayed a decade of the Rosary at each stop, learned about the beautiful artwork and walked through the Fulton J. Sheen museum. Our day ended with lots of trips to the buffet at Pizza Ranch. What a blessed day! God is good.

Freshman Pilgrimage- Off to a good start this morning. The Class of '28 began their pilgrimage to the tomb of Venerable Fulton Sheen in Peoria with a stop at Corpus Christi in Galesburg. Fr Stirniman told us that the gothic style of the church inspires us to look up... with its tall spires (it inspires!), it's very high ceilings, its tall windows... reminding us to look to Heaven, our true home.
Students also saw the full body relic of St Crescent; a young martyr from the third century. God is good!!!

Caleb Garrison, a sophomore at BND and Life Scout of Troop 3 of Burlington, Iowa, is seeking donations for his Eagle Scout project at Big Hollow County Park. The county wants to build a patio behind the rentable Ranger’s Cabin and will need funds to make that happen. You and/or your business can do a tax write-off through the Partners for Conservation Foundation. You may donate in several ways. Donate online via Paypal, click the donate button, select “Big Hollow Improvements” from the dropdown list, OR complete the Pledge Form, and DMC Parks will contact you regarding your donation. Donors may have blocks with their names on them on the firepit, and if donations are more than $500, we can have their names put on a 12” x 12” tile on the donor wall at the entrance to Big Hollow. Please donate by 4/4/25. Thank you for your consideration.
