Todays Field Day Color Run before and after photos ! Thank you BND PTO!
Juniors have been busy freshening up the victory bell area! In the 1960s, a family donated a bell to ND from a decommissioned church. The idea then surfaced for a “Victory Bell”. What we see today outside of the gym was gifted to the school by the Class of ‘66. Our current Notre Dame students are hoping to put the bell back in action, announcing our new victories!
Earlier this month, over forty Notre Dame students participated in one of the longest standing high school Dragon Boat races in the country! The races are sponsored by BHS Student Counsel. Students from BHS, Notre Dame, West Burlington, Danville and Mediapolis took to the waters of Lake Geode to test their rowing skills. Each ND team had one win, which was great for their first time in this event! (Most had never even seen a Dragon Boat!). They are ready to get back on the water next May…looking for the W! Thanks to all the sponsors who helped make this happen!
Reminder: Tomorrow is a 2-hour early dismissal, and there will be no afternoon bus service. Thank you for a wonderful school year we hope all of our families have a safe, relaxing, and blessed summer break!

Congratulations to the Notre Dame juniors who graduated from the MPowerU program offered by Southeastern Community College. They are Jillian Nickel, James Hunold, and Daisy Hazell. We look forward to seeing what these future leaders accomplish!

Des Moines County Soil & Water Conservation District awarded several of our Notre Dame Elementary students as the annual poster contest winners.
Regional Finals- Allee Rose Booten Tee Off @ 9AM on Hole 1
If you would like to watch Allee compete to go to state, there are two ways to watch.

Hole 2 is being filmed and some other areas will be filmed

ND Events for the week.
We have been fielding questions about the 2026 Pot of Gold Drawing ! In short, you folks have swamped us!!! Thank you for the last 3 days! Sales have been phenomenal. We are still at the office inputting tickets and reconciling them to ensure that everyone who bought a ticket on line or in person is in! Don't worry we did not sell more than 4000. It seems like everyone waited until the last moment this year!
We are planning on drawing winners this Monday at 1pm ( approximately )

Don’t forget to place your yearbook order! The deadline is June 1st. We will not have extra copies available for purchase at Open House, so don’t miss your chance to order one.

Please make note of the following for our special day:
Non-uniform day
Wear a white shirt you don’t mind getting dirty (we will be signing shirts in class and having a mini color run)
Bring a sack lunch and water bottle to eat outside
Apply sunscreen (we will be outside for approximately 3.5 hours)
We’re looking forward to a fun end to the school year!
