This week we had nine teams compete in our school wide battle of the books competition. This is a special competition for third through fifth graders. We are so proud of all of the kids for doing extra reading and competing and having fun! All kids who participated get to have an ice cream party at the end of the year.
Here are the results:
1st place- The Minions (4th grade)
2nd place (tie)- Reading Rainbows and 67 Kids & the Dodgers (both 3rd grade teams)
3rd place- The Reading Angels (4th grade)
Due to the tie for second place, all of the kids got to participate in an individual battle. The kids with the highest scores, as well as the first place team, get to participate in the battle of the books against other schools, which will be hosted in Fairfield in the end of April.
Congratulations to all of our participants! The kids worked so hard! 📕📚

Mrs. Vasicek and Grade 2 visited all the elementary classes and pre-K. They recited "Symmetry," a poem by Mrs. D'Agostino and shared their illustrations. Great job! Symmetry is a building block of drawing and much, much more.
