The ND freshmen class went on their annual pilgrimage to Peoria last week with several stops along the way: Corpus Christi in Galesburg to see the full body relic of St. Crescent, St. Mark's on Bradley University campus, St Joseph's Sacred Heart, and the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. The students learned the history of the cathedral, prayed at the tomb of Venerable Fulton Sheen and visited his museum down the street. The long, but holy day, ended at Pizza Ranch where everyone got their fill at the buffet!
A huge thank you to all of our mystery readers who made our read across America week so exciting for all of the kids! We had high school students, the mayor, and even some Burlington firefighters!
This week the Elementary School is celebrating Read Across America! Today each classroom had a "Mystery Reader". Thank you to the High School students, staff, and fire department that particpated as a mystery reader.

Congratulations to the Notre Dame Speech Team!
After earning All-State honors in two events for the large group competition, the team went on to
perform at the district individual events contest on Saturday, February 28, at Fairfield. Notre Dame
earned 30 “one” and 8 “two” scores.
The students who will advance to state competition on March 14 are:
Seniors Isaac DuCharme, Logan Hamma, Mary Joyce (two events), Hannah Schuldt, and Gavin Stevens;
juniors Sophia Blindt, Joanna Frakes, Liam Haeger, Daisy Hazell, Simi Khinda (two events), Jillian Nickel
(two events), and Jessee Pearson; sophomores Caylynne Bailey, Rose Carlson, Abby Constant, Sean
Hansen (two events), Zach Joyce, Karen Rezekallah, and Juron Thomas (two events); and freshmen Allee
Rose Booten (two events), Cavin Denney, Keaton Petersen, and Jaden Schuldt (two events).
