It is now official. Natalie Randolph has come full circle.

Randolph, a second team all-state selection as a sophomore, was named to the Class 1A first team all-state team this season by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.

Randolph, who missed her entire junior season with a torn ACL, is one of three Holy Trinity players honored in Class 1A.

Senior Mary Kate Bendlage was named to the first team. Sophomore middle hitter Presley Myers was named to the second team.

Holy Trinity finished second in Class 1A with a 33-11 record, losing to Ankeny Christian in the state championship match.

Randolph, a 5-foot-10 setter, averaged 2.0 kills on .197 hitting efficiency. She averaged 4.7 assists per set, along with 3.5 digs and 0.3 blocks.

She was one of the most accurate servers in the state, connecting on 489-of-503 attempts for 97.2 percent. She finished with 59 aces.

Bendlage, a 5-10 outside hitter, averaged 2.9 kills on .253 hitting efficiency. She also averaged 3.9 digs and 0.3 blocks. She connected on 260-of-272 serves for 95.6 percent with 20 aces.

Myers, a 6-foot-2 middle hitter, was named to the second team after averaging 3.0 kills on .325 hitting efficiency.

She also averaged 1.1 digs and 1.1 blocks and connected on 323-of-344 serves for 93.9 percent with 47 aces this season.

Avianna West and Taryn Stephens from Notre Dame were named to the Class 1A third team after helping the Nikes reach a Class 1A regional semifinal.

West averaged 3.4 kills on .173 hitting efficiency.

She also averaged 2.6 kills and was 309-of-330 (93.6 percent) from the service line with 28 aces.

Stephens averaged 3.0 kills on .188 hitting efficiency.

She also averaged 4.7 digs per set and was 432-of-451 (95.8 percent) from the service line with 36 aces.

Wapello’s Emily Hemphill was named to the Class 1A fourth team.

Hemphill, the Most Valuable Player of the SEI Super Conference North Division, averaged 3.6 kills on .243 hitting efficiency. She also averaged 3.4 digs and 0.5 blocks and was 263-of-317 (83.0 percent) from the service line with 31 aces.

West Burlington senior Taryn Havener was selected to the Class 2A fourth team after leading the Falcons to the SEI Superconference Tournament championship and a regional final.

Havener, who will play for Southeastern Community College next season, averaged 3.2 kills on .398 hitting efficiency.

She also averaged 1.4 digs and 0.6 blocks per set and was 291-of-315 (92.4 percent) from the service line with 39 aces.
