Notre Dame-West Burlington’s Kaitlyn Kipp finished third Tuesday at the Mount Pleasant Cross Country Invitational.

Notre Dame-West Burlington freshman Kaitlyn Kipp continues to shine in cross country.

She finished second behind three-time state champion Danielle Hostetler at the Clear Creek-Amana Invitational on Monday at the Kickers Soccer Complex in Iowa City.

Kipp finished in 21 minutes, 14.6 seconds.

Also for the Nikes, Kennedy Ritter was 25th and Grace Nichols was 33rd.

Kenna Small led Wapello, finishing 22nd in 24:00.8. Also for the Arrows, Kenadee Heschler was 43rd, Tatum Wolford was 52nd, Gissell Cameron was 55th and Claire Anderson was 62nd.

Afton Wilkerson led Winfield-Mount Union, finishing 44th. Also for the Wolves, Jana Isanta Vila was 46th and Maggie Hutton was 81st.

Kohlby Newsom of Winfield-Mount Union was the top boys’ finisher, taking seventh in 18:07.9.

Also for the Wolves, Gabriel Hemsworth was 13th, Ty Scorpil was 27th, Bowen Thomson was 28th and Jacob Nelson 58th.

Sage Eggar finished 29th in 20:08.9 for ND-WB. Also for the Nikes, Liam Haeger was 33rd, Conner Bush was 43rd and Prior Bowen was 45th.

Will Parsons was Wapello’s top finisher, placing 67th. Jordan Chamberlian-Johnson was 70th, Jack Boysen was 79th and Holden Helmig was 83rd.
